OpenCommune is a movement to create cafe-like community/collaboration space within a shared office environment for entrepreneurs and freelancers – via the coworking model. We are a proud part of the Coworking movement around the world and actively support it. More.
• What does OpenCommune mean?
We believe in creating a collaborative environment under a shared roof, such as a Commune, where different people, in the midst of pursuing their goals, can help each other bring their ideas to life through openness, communication, trust, and a sense of achievement. Huh, say what?
• Who does this stuff?
Pretty much anyone really. Developers, designers, writers, musicians, photographers and more. It’s geared towards the needs of the start-up entrepreneur or freelancer who can’t afford full time space but still needs the big company amenities. More.
• Why should I care?
Because you get so much more with your coffee, than when working independently at home or your local coffee shop. The reasons.
• Where can I find an OpenCommune?
You can find OpenCommune coworking spaces by looking up the Spaces list on the left of this page.
Don’t sweat if you can’t find a coworking space in your area – we are working towards getting more people to be a part of this wave. You can help by spreading the word to make more OpenCommunes pop up. If you would just like to cowork and be a space user, demand for one by signing up using the form on the right!
